The Singing Kettle, located about half way down Fore Street in Buckfastleigh is quite a superb establishment. Located in the heart of Devon and within a lovely little town, the Singing Kettle provides a wonderful cup of tea. The price is £2 per pot, but once you recieve it you'll see why. You spend £2 on a tea in a motorway services and get rubbish service along with mediocre tea, however we got fabulous service and the tea came in a bone china tea set. So good was it that we even had a meal there consisting on a spinich and four cheese lasagne and followed by the most wonderful spiced apple and pecan crumble served with a lovely dollop of clotted cream. I give this tea room a very positive review as it was of the highest quality, even with two young men smellling from a cycle, they still didn't mind our custom. Service is prompt, with us having to wait for only a very short period for our meals. Wonderful bone china tea set with flower print and gold trims!! If your passing by and fancy a cream tea, quick snack and of course, a lovely cup of tea, we highly recommend you use this tea room, its of the highest class!!! |

Whilst taking time out from his busy schedule of losing things on the Conwy, Dave Goadby of Manchester University found time last year for a quick cuppa on the lip of Low Force on the Tees. Inspired.
